When you arrive at NJP or Bagdogra Airport, our personnel will greet you. We’ll transport you to Darjeeling from there. By road, it takes 3 hours to travel from NJP to Darjeeling. The spectacular vista of rich green tea gardens stretching over the hills along the journey, via Rohini, will ease your exhaustion. The sight of the road and the narrow gauge railway track running side by side after 33 kilometers, right before reaching Kurseong, may delight you. Don’t forget to stop in Sonada, a little village 51 kilometers from Siliguri, to make a quick visit to Samdrup Dorje Choling Monastery, which is located on the opposite side of the gas pump, to get a taste of Buddhist culture.

After checking into your hotel, spend the remainder of the day exploring the Darjeeling Mall, admiring the majestic majesty of the world’s third-highest Himalayan peak, Kanchenjunga (28,169 ft), or sampling some tongue-tingling local specialties. The second day is dedicated to touring in Darjeeling. Tiger Hill will be your first stop. You will see one of the most beautiful things the world has to offer. The dawn from Tiger Hill will undoubtedly fascinate you. The wonderful ambiance and changing hues will leave you awestruck. Then you’ll go to Ghoom Monastery, which is one of Darjeeling’s oldest Tibetan monasteries. The Batasia Loop, where the toy train makes a stunning loop and negotiates a 140-foot altitude, will be waiting for you after that. Your first segment of sightseeing for the day will be completed by 8:30 a.m. After breakfast at your accommodation, you’ll begin the second phase of your sightseeing.

You will be visiting the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute first. Here you will be able to learn mountain climbing if you want. You can also explore the institute’s museum which is filled with artifacts and gears used by Tenzing Norgay for his first expedition to Mt Everest. Your next stop will be the Darjeeling Zoo or the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park. Expect to witness snow leopards, clouded leopards, and red pandas for the first time, possibly for the first time in your life. The Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre will be your next stop. Tibetan men and women work here to create magnificent handcrafted products such as woolen shawls and carpets, carved wooden crafts, leather jackets and coats, and a variety of other items. Go for a Darjeeling Cable Car ride or the ropeway to witness the exquisite sight of Darjeeling from above.

Your last destination for the day’s sightseeing is the Japanese temple and Peace Pagoda. They will bring you serenity and tranquility because it is a symbol of brotherhood and harmony. On your way back to your hotel, stop for lunch. Depending on the road conditions, this sightseeing may take 4-5 hours. After resting at the hotel, spend the evening at the Mall, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Darjeeling is a great place to spend the night.
