Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing & visit to Patan City

You will be taken sightseeing in Kathmandu after breakfast. The historic Durbar (Royal Palace) square is your first stop. In the Kathmandu valley, there are three Durbar squares, one of which is this one. Hanuman Dhoka Palace Complex is another name for this complex. Swayambhunath is the next stop on your journey. The oldest iconic religious monument of Kathmandu, also known as Monkey Temple, is located on a hilltop at a distance of 2 km on the west side of the Kathmandu valley.

We will transport you to Patan once you have lunch. Lalitpur city, formerly known as Patan, is located 7 kilometers from Kathmandu and takes approximately 20 minutes to arrive by vehicle. The lovely city of Lalitpur is Kathmandu’s sister city, divided by the Bagmati river. Lalitpur or Patan is a must-see destination on your itinerary because of its significant architectural treasures. Patan’s central Durbar area is densely filled with temples.

The Krishna Mandir is one of the most prominent temples to see here. Golden temple, Manga Hiti, Jagannarayan temple, Viswanath temple, and Bhimsen temple are among the numerous temples you’ll see. You will be escorted back to your accommodation in Kathmandu after your excursion to Patan city. The rest of the day is free for leisure and strolling. Stay in Kathmandu for the night.

Day 3 : Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley

The day’s sightseeing of Kathmandu valley will begin with a visit to the Pashupatinath temple after breakfast at your accommodation. Lord Shiva’s temple attracts a large number of pilgrims from India each year. Pashupatinath Temple, located on the banks of the holy river Baghmati, was restored in the 16th century after the original temple was destroyed by Muslim invaders in the 14th century. The Bouddhanath Stupa, one of South Asia’s largest stupas, will be your next stop. This location has become the epicenter of Tibetan Buddhism practice in Nepal.

The tour after lunch will continue with a visit to Bhaktapur city. Bhaktapur is 15.5 kilometers from Kathmandu and takes about 45 minutes to get there. Because of its well-preserved palace centre and old city centre, this location was included in UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. ‘Ju Ju Dhau’ is another well-known feature of Bhaktapur. Dhau signifies Dahi or curd, while Ju Ju indicates King. So don’t miss out on the chance to try some of Bhaktapur’s famed curd. The major feature of Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a jumble of pagodas and shikhara-style temples.

Durbar Square’s Golden Gate is the most exquisite and ornately carved specimen of its sort in the world. The Palace of 55 Windows is the next greatest item to see here. This one-of-a-kind and gigantic palace was built in 1427 during the reign of King Yaksha Malla. The palace’s balcony, which has 55 windows, is regarded a remarkable woodcarving masterpiece. You will return to your accommodation in Kathmandu after touring Bhaktapur. Then you’re free for the rest of the day. Stay in Kathmandu for the night.
