Day 1 : Transfer to Pelling

From NJP or Bagdogra Airport, you will be transferred to Pelling. On the way, the gurgling and dancing Teesta River will accompany you for some distance. You can witness the meeting of Rangit River with Teesta from your car. Pelling is a small town of the Western District of Sikkim situated at an altitude of 6,840 ft now become one of the prime attractions of Sikkim for its majestic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga (28,169 ft), the world’s 3 rd highest mountain peaks. Checks in to your hotel freshen up and then either you can take a rest or else you can visit the helipad to catch glimpses of stunning panoramic view of the rolling mountains and valleys with majestic Kanchenjungha. Stay overnight at Pelling.

Day 2 : Pelling Sightseeing

After breakfast, the first stop on the day’s tour itinerary is the village of Darap. Talk to the people to gain a sense of their way of life, and then ask them to show you into their temple, which may surprise you. Then you’ll go to the breathtaking Rimbi Waterfall, which is known for its captivating beauty. Enjoy the fine water dust on your face and capture some memories with your camera. After that, you’ll go to Sewaro Rock Garden. This well-kept garden with pools is a great spot for a lunch break. It’s now time to see Kanchenjunga Waterfall, another magnificent waterfall. This is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, cascading from a great height.

Khechiopalri Tsho, also known as Khechiperi Lake, is your final stop for the day. This lake is thought to be a wish-fulfilling lake by the natives. This lake is surrounded by beautiful green forests, making it a peaceful location to stay in the middle of nature. Return to your accommodation after seeing the wonderful sights. You have the rest of the evening free to either watch the sunset over the Mighty Kanchenjunga from your hotel room or go for a stroll in and around Pelling’s shopping centre. Pelling is a good place to spend the night.

Day 3 : Transfer To Gangtok

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and begin your 5-hour travel to Gangtok, which is 117.2 kilometers away. The route from Pelling to Gangtok is a scenic ride through lush green hills and a deep valley lined with captivating scenery, fast-flowing mountain rivers, and several waterfalls. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is a lovely hill town at an elevation of 5,410 feet. Sikkim’s tourism capital is Gangtok.

In 1840, Enchey Monastery was built, paving the stage for this location to become a Buddhist pilgrimage site. Thutob Namgyal, the Sikkimese Chogyal (Religious King), moved the capital of the Kingdom of Sikkim to Gangtok in 1894. On the route to Gangtok, stop for lunch. You are now free for the day after checking into your accommodation. Take a stroll down the lovely M G Marg, where you’ll find bright souvenir shops, cafes, diners, and other shops. While meandering along M G Marg, you will get a better look at Sikkim’s indigenous cultures, colorful traditions, and local foods. Stay in Gangtok for the night.

Day 4 : Sightseeing At Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Temple)

After breakfast, you will go to Tsomgo Lake for sightseeing. On your way to Tsomgo Lake, you’ll first stop at Kyongnosla Falls. It is a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Gangtok to Chhangu Lake. Tsomgo Lake is a glacier lake in Sikkim, located at a height of 12,313 feet. This oval-shaped lake is 2,743 feet long and 1,401 feet wide at its widest point. The maximum depth of this lake is 49 feet, with an average depth of 15 feet. During the summer and autumn, Primulas and other Alpine plants can be found around the lake. The lake freezes over in the winter.

Enjoy and be amazed by the lake’s calm and magnificent beauty. To whet your appetite, have some Tibetan noodles before continuing on your way to Baba Mandir. Baba Mandir is a temple dedicated to Harbhajan Singh, an Indian army captain. Soldiers in the Indian army refer to him as the “Hero of Nathu La.” The Baba, like most saints, is considered to bestow blessings on those who revere and worship him. Before leaving for Gangtok, say a prayer. Stay in Gangtok for the night.

Day 5 : Drop To NJP

After an early breakfast, check out of your hotel and go to NJP, bidding Sikkim farewell. NJP is approximately 120 kilometers from Gangtok and takes 3 to 4 hours to drive. The picturesque view of the thickly covered forest and the lovely valley of Rolling Meadows will accompany you during your journey. If time allows, stop for a drink on the way to NJP. Make a pit stop at Coronation Bridge to see the emerald blue River Teesta gently trickling through the towering valleys, which will be a fitting finale to your journey. Your 4 Nights and 5 Days Tour Package will expire once you arrive in NJP.
