You will be starting your journey to Gangtok from Bagdogra or New Jalpaiguri Junction. You will have a journey of around 4 hours to cover the 120 Km distance of NJP/Bagdogra to Gangtok. After breakfast, the first attraction you are going to behold is Tsomgo Lake. On the way spend some quality time at Kyongnosla falls. Also known as Chhangu Lake, it will be a journey of around two and a half hours to finally reach your hotel. This is a 2,743 ft long oval-shaped lake whose maximum width is 1,401 ft. Primulas and other Alpine vegetation can be seen around the lake during summer and autumn. During winter the lake gets frozen. Enjoy and be mesmerized by the serene beauty of the lake. From here, start your journey towards Baba Mandir which is a shrine constructed in the memory of Harbhajan Singh, an Indian army captain. He is known as the “Hero of Nathu La”. Offer him a prayer in the Mandir. After Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir sightseeing, get back to the hotel in Gangtok for dinner and a night stay.
