It will take around 4 hr to reach Sillery Gaon after covering approximate 94 km distance. Situated at an altitude of 6,000 ft Sillery Gaon is a small settlement of Kalimpong district of West Bengal. Sillery Gaon is becoming popular for the majestic view of Mt. Kanchenjungha and other snow-capped peaks. While on your way towards Sillery Gaon virid lofty mountains, rolling tea gardens and pine forest will surely mesmerise you. After checking in to your resort you are free to spend rest of the day as per your choice. Best idea will be taking a stroll around the village and don't forget to visit the Sangchhen Dorjee Monastery of this village. Historically this old monastery is very important as it was built during the Bhutanese rule in Pedong. Stay overnight at Sillery Gaon.
Wake up early to witness the magical charisma of the nature in form of sunrise over Kanchenjungha. After having your breakfast you will go for the sightseeing of Sillery Gaon. The breathtaking view from Ramitey view point will leave you spellbound with the panoramic view of river Teesta. You can see 14 bends of the Teesta from here. The last home of Lepcha King remains in the ruins of Damsang fort. Ask locals about the legendary love story of Damsang fort. Tinchuley view point will take out your breath completely with the panoramic vista of the mountainous valley. After having lunch now it is the time to say adios (goodbye) to Sillery Gaon. Early in the morning take a 20 minutes trip to Mankhim to witness yet another jaw dropping sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjungha. After sunrise return to your home stay and have your breakfast then you will start your day's sightseeing. One of the oldest natural lakes in Sikkim is this boot shaped lake Lampokhari Lake. Recently this emerald green lake artificially constructed to facilitate boating for the tourists. Your next destination is Aritar Gumpha (monastery) which has very rich collection of artefacts, murals and paintings. Its beautiful architecture will surely catch your eyes. After lunch is the time to start for Zuluk is also spelled as Dzuluk. It is around 2 hr journey from Aritar to cover 42 km distance. After an early breakfast check out from your hotel and head to NJP while saying 'Alvida' (goodbye) to Sikkim. With an approx distance of 120 km it is an overall 3 to 4 hrs drive to reach NJP from Gangtok. Throughout your journey you will be accompanied by the pictorial view of thick virid woods and scenic valley of Rolling Meadows. If time allows have some refreshment on the way to NJP.
