Day 1 : Transfer to Phuentsholing / Jaigaon

When you arrive at Hasimara, a representative from our side will greet you and transport you to your hotel in Phuentsholing/Jaigaon. Phuentsholing and Jaigaon are sister cities in Bhutan and India, respectively. The journey from Hasimara to Phuentsholing/Jaigaon takes only one hour. Two of Phuentsholing’s most notable attractions are the Amo Chhu crocodile breeding centre and the Bhutan Gate. Change your clothes and check into your hotel. You will be free for the rest of the evening once you have obtained the Inner Line Permit. Stay in Phuentsholing for the night.

Day 2 : Transfer to Thimpu

The journey from Phuentsholing to Thimpu will be of 6 hours. Thimpu, Bhutan’s capital city, is the only city in the country that offers an impeccable blend of past and present in its breathtaking architecture. The road leading to Thimphu is built on a hilly terrain. Throughout your journey, you will be accompanied by a picturesque landscape of dense conifer trees and a scenic valley. On the way to Thimphu, stop for lunch. Check into your hotel and change your clothes. In the evening, you are free to relax in your hotel or take a stroll through Thimphu’s market area, where you should try the local delicacies. Spend the night in Thimphu.

Day 3 : Thimpu Sightseeing & Transfer to Paro

We will take you to explore Thimphu after an early morning breakfast. The Memorial Chorten will be your first stop. It was constructed to honour the memory of the 3rd Drukpa Gyalpo and is located in the heart of Thimphu. Many locals come here to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Mothitang Takin Preserve is your next stop. Next, go to BBS Tower to get a bird’s-eye view of Thimphu City. We’ll go to the National Textile Museum after a few clicks. Learn how to wear Gho and Kira while learning the difference between royal and common attire. After lunch we will take you to the famous Thimphu Dzong. Situated along the banks of Wang Chhu River, Thimphu Dzong also known as Trashichhoe Dzong with its monumental architecture and ancient artefacts has become a place which shouldn’t be missed. Adore the colourful Thangkhas and paintings.

Next we will proceed to Kuensal Phodrang Nature Park to witness the magnificent statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. Also known as Buddha Dordenma, the Buddha View Point has become the iconic landmark of Thimphu. You will be driven back to the hotel after watching the spectacular view of Thimphu Valley. Stay overnight at Thimphu. After the sightseeing is over we will take you to Paro. It is a 2 hour journey from Thimpu to Paro. Check in your hotel in Paro and rest for the night. Stay overnight at Paro.

Day 4 : Paro Sightseeing

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and go on a Paro sightseeing tour. Paro, Bhutan’s scenically gifted town with numerous historically significant landmarks, is located on the banks of the Mo Chhu and Pa Chhu rivers. The Taktsang Monastery is Paro’s most well-known tourist destination. On the cliff, there is a monastery. The hike to Taktsang Monastery takes two hours. You can either trek or ride a pony.

You will be visiting Paro Dzong after lunch. The Fortress on a Heap of Jewel, Paro Dzong, is also featured on the UNESCO tentative sites list. You may only go around the Dzong’s courtyard since the main sanctum, which houses Guru Rinpoche’s Thondrol, is only open during the yearly Tsechu. Return to your accommodation after seeing the wonderful sight of the purple jacaranda trees and glistening water of Po Chhu and Mo Chhu. You have the rest of the day to yourself. After the launch, take a trip around the neighbourhood to learn about the local traditions. Stay in Paro for the night.

Day 5 : Drop at Hasimara

After your early morning breakfast, you’ll go to Hasimara. It takes 6 hours to get from Paro to Hasimara. While bidding farewell to the magical kingdom of Bhutan, take in the mesmerizing vista of Paro’s breathtaking terrain.
