In our 4 Nights and 5 Days trip package, we will take you on an unforgettable journey of exploration of Thimpu’s capital city, Punakha, and the ancient town of Paro. Get a taste of Bhutanese culture during your vacation to Punakha. You will be treated to a stunning panorama from the Dochula pass. In Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city, you’ll see the Trashichhoe Dzong, National Textile Museum, Memorial Chorten, and the highest statue of Sakyamuni Buddha over Kuensal Phodrang Nature Park. After that, you’ll fly to Paro. The most notable site in Paro is the cliffside Taktsang Monastery.

Day 1 : Transfer to Thimphu

Tour starts after you reach Hasimara Railway Station. On your arrival at Hasimara, you will be greeted by our representative. You will be taken to Phuentsholing then for the Inner Line Permit. From Phuentsholing, it would take around 6 hours to reach Thimphu. The route that leads to Thimphu is built on a mountainous terrain. Throughout your journey, you will be accompanied by picturesque scenery of lush conifer trees and lovely valleys. Take a break for lunch on the road to Thimphu. Check into your hotel and get a good night’s sleep. At the evening, you are free to relax in your hotel or go for a stroll through Thimphu’s market area, where you should try some of the local specialties. Spend the night in Thimphu.

Day 2 : Thimpu Sightseeing

Day 2 will be about exploring all the fascinating sightseeing attraction the capital town of Bhutan has to offer. Begin the sightseeing excursion by visiting Memorial Chorten which was built in the memory of 3rd Drukpa Gyalpo. You will be visiting Motithang Takin Preserve next which is known to be the natural habitat of Bhutan’s National animal Takin. From here, head towards BBS Tower. From this watch tower, you will be able to witness the splendid panoramic view of the entire Thimphu City. Next, you will be visiting National Textile Museum. Learn how to put on Gho and Kira as well as the differences between royal and regular clothing. We will take you to the iconic Thimphu Dzong after lunch. The vibrant Thangkhas and paintings are a must-see of this Dzong. We’ll then travel to Kuensal Phodrang Nature Park to see the majestic Sakyamuni Buddha statue. The Buddha View Point, also known as Buddha Dordenma, has become a well-known landmark in Thimphu. After taking in the breathtaking views of Thimphu Valley, you will be taken back to your hotel. Spend the night in Thimphu.

Day 3 : Transfer to Paro via Punakha

From Thimphu, you will be transferred to Punakha. During your journey, stop at Dochula Pass where you will get to see 108 memorial chortens built in the memory of Bhutanese soldiers. The magnificent beauty of Dochula Pass will surely captivates your mind along with with its panoramic view of north-eastern territories of Bhutan.

Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungtang Dewa Chhenbi Phodrang, is your first destination in Punakha. This Dzong is Bhutan’s second oldest and largest, having been built in 1637-38. Punakha Dzong is a must-see location in Punakha Valley, with its monumental building providing visitors with a wonderful view of the beautiful ravine. After we have our lunch, we’ll travel to Paro. Punakha and Paro are 127 kilometres apart and take about 4 hours to drive between them. Check into your Paro hotel and get a good night’s sleep. You have the option of resting or walking around the region. Stay in Paro for the night.

Day 4 : Paro Sightseeing

After breakfast, take a Paro sightseeing trip. On the banks of the Mo Chhu and Pa Chhu rivers, Paro, Bhutan’s scenically blessed town with numerous historically significant landmarks is located. Paro’s most well-known tourist attraction is the Taktsang Monastery. A monastery sits atop the cliff. It takes two hours to trek to Taktsang Monastery. You have the option of trekking or riding a pony. The National Museum of Bhutan is located in the Conch-shaped building of Ta Dzong. There are artefacts dating back to the 2nd century that provide insight into the early Bhutanese era.

After lunch, you will be driven to Paro Dzong. Paro Dzong, or Fortress on a Heap of Jewels, is also on the UNESCO tentative sites list. After admiring the beautiful purple jacaranda trees and shimmering water of Po Chhu and Mo Chhu, return to your accommodation. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy. Take a walk around the neighborhood after the launch to learn about the local customs. Spend the night in Paro.

Day 5 : Drop at Hasimara

Thimphu Paro Punakha Tour Package for 4 Nights 5 Days ends today. You will proceed to Hasimara after having your early morning breakfast in the hotel. From Paro to Hasimara it will be a journey of 6 hours. Enjoy the mesmerizing view of the astounding landscape of Paro while saying goodbye to the mystical land of Bhutan. You will have to cover an approx. distance of 179 km to reach Hasimara Railway Station and your 4 Nights and 5 Days Kanchenjunga holiday’s Thimpu Paro Punakha tour package will come to an end.
